Our experience in the field of heat treatment of steel and in quench hardening is based on the know-how of founder Karl-Wilhelm Burgdorf and has been systematically developed ever since 1949 - as documented in our archived literature. We have our own research and development departments that interact closely with all renowned manufacturers of heat treatment systems and with accessory suppliers, heat treatment associations, research institutes and authorities.

The staffs of the company group are active members of national and international technical committees. We regularly participate in technical symposia, often also with presentations of our own. We also share our know-how through in-house courses on heat treatment and courses on the application/handling/care of our products – also tailored to the customer on request.

Our consulting services naturally include application technical support in regard to the use of our products and on routine annual laboratory testing of our products but also including special investigations into application technical problems. The laboratory reports are customised and compiled to serve the requirements of the customers and will include proposals for actions as needed. Such individual analyses of our laboratory tests in the context of our customer’s process parameters provide a special support for our customers – a service which is unique in our sector.

Our service portfolio is complemented by our intensive after sales service through regular on-site visits for support in regard to application technical problems or information offered on new and ongoing product developments in the company group.
