POLYMER QUENCHANTS

The water-dilutable polymer quenchants SERVISCOL, POLYQUENCH, GLYKOQUENCH and OSMANIL perform adjustable, process-stable quenching characteristics, leaving little residue. 

By changing the concentration over a wide range, the quenching properties may be adjusted for stable processing and adapted to suit the workpiece. While quenching process a polymer film is formed on the surface of the component for more consistent and slower transfer of heat and to thereby minimise the danger of distortion and cracking. 

The polymer quenchants consider the latest regulations and laws in regard to environmental, health and safety aspects. They are free of boron and formaldehyde. They are distinguished by exceptionally high product stability, good anti corrosion properties and particularly low tendency to residue formation on the surfaces of the hardened workpiece and the hardening equipment. Low concentrations, low specific consumption and a particularly high product stability offer unsurpassed cost-effectiveness. 

As with all water-dilutable process materials, the solutions in use require ongoing control and bath care.
