POLYMER QUENCHANTS

The water-dilutable polymer quenchants SERVISCOL, POLYQUENCH, GLYKOQUENCH and OSMANIL perform adjustable, process-reliable quenching characteristics. 

By changing the concentration over a wide range, the quenching properties may be adjusted for reliable processing and to suit the workpiece. During the quenching process usually a polymer film is formed on the surface of the component for more even and slower heat transfer and to thereby minimise the danger of distortion and cracking. 

The polymer quenchants meet the latest regulations and laws in regard to environmental, health and safety aspects. They are free of boron and formaldehyde. They are characterised by exceptionally high product stability, good anticorrosion properties and particularly low tendency to residue formation on the surfaces of the hardened workpiece and the equipment. Low concentrations, low specific consumption and a particularly high product stability offer unsurpassed cost-effectiveness. 

As with all water-dilutable process materials, the solutions in use require ongoing control and bath care.
